Food for the Hungry: Forward with Hope

$15M for Disaster Relief Capacity-Build, HIV/AIDS care and prevention, and infrastructure.

For nearly 40 years Food for the Hungry, a Christian humanitarian organization, has sought an end to poverty globally through a biblically-based mission to address physical and spiritual needs.

Today, Food for the Hungry is at a unique and pivotal time in the life of its mission. The number of lives impacted annually through Food for the Hungry has grown from 1.4 million to 2 million worldwide. Food for the Hungry’s outreach has also grown in diversity and deepened in expertise.

In order to support this growth and look to future global needs, Food for the Hungry is engaged in a $15M Capital Campaign called Forward with Hope. The campaign is poised to help Food for the Hungry:

• Intensify readiness for emergency relief and disaster response
• Lead a biblical response to the global health crisis of HIV/AIDS
• Strengthen the foundation of current field work in order to keep pace with growth and expand into new fields.

Food for the Hungry engaged The FOCUS Group, LLC (TFG) to conduct a feasibility study prior to the launch of the Forward with Hope Campaign. Today TFG serves as campaign counsel toward the goal of $7.5M in current giving and $7.5M in deferred giving.
